Total Solar Eclipse of May 19, 1928

On May 19, 1928, the Moon's shadow axis passes close enough to the Sun-Earth line for a total solar eclipse, but the axis misses Earth's surface entirely — no path of totality or annularity is visible from anywhere on the ground, only a partial eclipse near the point closest to the axis.
